Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

The Jurnal Seuramoe Pendidikan Aceh employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, credibility, and originality of all published manuscripts. This process guarantees that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous, ensuring an unbiased and fair evaluation of each submission.

Steps in the Peer Review Process:

  1. Initial Manuscript Submission

    • Authors submit their manuscript online through the journal’s submission system.
    • The editorial team conducts an initial check to ensure the manuscript adheres to the journal’s submission guidelines, including formatting, scope, and ethical standards. If the manuscript does not meet these criteria, it may be returned to the authors for revision.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers

    • Once the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to at least two reviewers with expertise in the subject matter.
    • The peer review is double-blind, meaning both the authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other.
  3. Review Process

    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:
      • Originality and relevance of the research.
      • Theoretical and methodological soundness.
      • Clarity of writing and logical flow.
      • Contribution to the field of education in Aceh.
    • Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement, which may include suggestions for revising sections of the manuscript or addressing specific concerns.
  4. Decision Making

    • After receiving the reviewers' feedback, the editorial board evaluates the recommendations and makes one of the following decisions:
      • Accept: The manuscript is accepted without further revisions.
      • Minor Revisions: The manuscript is accepted with minor changes, and the authors must address the reviewers' comments before publication.
      • Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant changes, and the authors are invited to revise and resubmit the manuscript for further review.
      • Reject: The manuscript is rejected if it does not meet the journal’s quality standards or if the issues raised by the reviewers are not addressed.
  5. Revision and Resubmission

    • If revisions are requested, authors are given a set period to revise the manuscript and resubmit it.
    • The revised manuscript is re-evaluated to ensure that all issues raised by reviewers have been properly addressed.
    • If necessary, the manuscript may undergo another round of peer review.
  6. Final Decision and Publication

    • Once the manuscript meets the journal's standards and all reviewer comments have been addressed, the editor makes the final decision to accept the manuscript for publication.
    • The manuscript is then processed for publication, including formatting, proofreading, and preparing the final version for online and print release.
