Review Process

The Aceh Health Sciences Journal follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the research it publishes. When authors submit their manuscripts, they are first screened by the editorial team to ensure they meet the journal's submission guidelines and align with its scope. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic criteria are rejected at this stage.

Once a manuscript passes the initial screening, it is sent to two independent, external reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other, ensuring an impartial and unbiased evaluation. The reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, scientific merit, clarity, and relevance. They provide detailed feedback and make a recommendation: to accept the manuscript, request minor or major revisions, or reject it.

Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editorial team makes a final decision and communicates it to the authors. If revisions are needed, authors are asked to revise and resubmit their manuscript. Once the manuscript is revised and accepted, it moves to the final stages of copyediting and formatting for publication.

Throughout the process, all parties adhere to ethical guidelines, including maintaining confidentiality and avoiding conflicts of interest. This robust and fair process ensures that the research published in the Aceh Health Sciences Journal meets high academic standards.
