Author Guidelines
The Aceh Health Sciences Journal welcomes high-quality, original research in the field of health sciences. Authors are requested to follow these guidelines for manuscript submission:
1. Manuscript Types
- Original Research Articles: Full-length studies with original data and findings.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive overviews of specific health topics.
- Case Reports: Detailed reports on clinical cases with educational value.
- Short Communications: Brief reports on novel findings or preliminary studies.
2. Manuscript Preparation
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
- Length: Articles should typically be between 3,000 to 6,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).
- Formatting: Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman), size 12, and double-spaced. Submit in Word or LaTeX format.
- Title: A concise, informative title.
- Abstract: An abstract of 200-250 words, summarizing the background, methods, results, and conclusion.
- Keywords: 3-5 keywords relevant to the manuscript.
3. Structure
- Introduction: Clear background, objectives, and rationale for the study.
- Methods: Detailed methodology, including study design, data collection, and analysis.
- Results: Clear presentation of results with appropriate statistical analysis.
- Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and implications.
- Conclusion: Brief summary of findings and their relevance to health practice or policy.
- References: Follow the journal’s referencing style (APA, Harvard, etc.).
4. Figures and Tables
- Figures: High-quality images, graphs, or charts. Each should be numbered and have a clear title.
- Tables: Should be numbered and include clear headings. Avoid using excessive tables or data.
5. Ethical Considerations
- Approval: For studies involving humans or animals, ethical approval from a recognized board must be obtained.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
6. Submission Process
- Online Submission: Submit manuscripts through the journal's online submission system.
- Cover Letter: Include a brief cover letter stating the manuscript's relevance and confirming that it has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Peer Review: All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
7. Copyright and Open Access
- The journal follows an open access model, meaning all published articles are freely available online.
- Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right to publish and distribute their work.
8. Revisions and Resubmission
