Publication Ethics

The Jambo Digitech journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to ethical guidelines to ensure the integrity and quality of the journal.

Duties of Authors

  1. Originality and Plagiarism:

    • Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly cite or quote the works of others.
    • Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in the rejection of the manuscript.

  2. Data Accuracy and Integrity:

    • Authors must provide accurate and reliable data supporting their findings.
    • Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is prohibited.

  3. Authorship:

    • Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the study and manuscript should be listed as authors.
    • All contributors must agree on the final version of the manuscript before submission.

  4. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:

    • Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the research.

  5. Multiple Submissions:

    • Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal simultaneously.

Duties of Editors

  1. Fair and Objective Decision-Making:

    • Editors must evaluate submissions based on academic merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or affiliation.

  2. Confidentiality:

    • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts during the review process and must not disclose information to anyone other than the corresponding parties.

  3. Conflict of Interest:

    • Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.

  4. Publication Decisions:

    • The editor-in-chief has the responsibility to make the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript based on its originality, importance, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Confidentiality:

    • Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential and must not use the information for personal benefit.

  2. Objective Review:

    • Reviewers should provide objective and constructive feedback to improve the manuscript's quality.

  3. Timeliness:

    • Reviewers must complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe and notify the editor if unable to meet the deadline.

  4. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:

    • Reviewers must inform the editor of any conflicts of interest that might affect their ability to provide an impartial review.

Duties of the Publisher

  1. Integrity of Publication:

    • The publisher ensures that all published content adheres to the ethical standards and that any allegations of misconduct are investigated thoroughly.

  2. Corrections and Retractions:

    • The publisher is responsible for issuing corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary to maintain the integrity of the academic record.

Ethical Misconduct

Jambo Digitech follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines to handle any suspected ethical misconduct. Allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate actions, including manuscript retraction or author sanctions, will be taken if misconduct is proven.
